Each day brings to us the opportunity to see our lives in a new way. You can be
anything you want to be starting today. You are the creator of your life. You have the power of the
universe to create your life exactly the way you want. Can you believe that? Or do you just think
those word are filled with hot air?
Your belief whether you believe in Law of Attraction or don't makes Law of Attraction work the way
it does for your life. It meets you on your vibrational level of what you belief is true of you and
your life. What does that mean? It means that with what you constantly believe about yourself you
monitor your self-concept at all times. If you believe you are ugly then you are. If you believe
you are attractive - you are. If you believe you are rich you become rich. Whatever you believe in
- becomes true for you.
Now some people say they believe a certain way and they consciously may think they believe that way
and yet the results on the outside say something much different than how they profess to
believe.
You'll find your outer results will eventually match what you actually believe about yourself.
Those results don't lie because they are based on the Law of Attraction or what many people call
the Law. Your mental equivalents tend to come into your world sooner versus later. If you expect it
to come after a certain time or event then the law goes to work to prove what you believe is true
by letting you wait because that is what you believe.
So what gets in your way?
Isn't it forgetting who you are day in and day out?
What you focus on distracts you by taking care of the little things of life. The mini-crisis.
Driving the kids to school. The extra work your boss loaded on you at the last minute that just
"has to be done two days ago!". Things in life can feel bumpy and especially if you believe they
are or can be bumpy.
Now let's go further. Let's create a scene that could happen to someone. For illustration purposes
we'll use the term "you" - not you personally but figuratively.
POSSIBLE SCENE IN LIFE: You get bumped by a cart in the grocery line. Your hip feels bruised; you
look over at an older lady. She smiles at you with her toothless mouth. She is shaking with some
type of disease. Maybe it's Parkinson's disease. You feel sorry for her and turn back to the line.
She bumps you again even harder. You look back and she is shaking even more as she apologizes to
you for bumping you again. You try to shooter further up the line but there is no more room that
you can move.
As you walk a step further you are rubbing your right hip. You start thinking "why did I attract
that?" You get out to your car and find that someone had dented your Brand New 4-week-old BMW
convertible's back end with visible results. You check your trunk and it still opens but you feel
bad about how you might have attracted that. You find no note on your car or around the car. You
just had a hit and run. "Aghhhh!" you think to yourself.
You start to get even more upset at the thought your insurance rates are going to go up because of
this accident. You get even more upset because you realized that you are just stuck with your car's
dented back end and they didn't even leave you a note. "Don't they know they are responsible!" you
say out loud at your car hoping the person responsible would come running back to claim it was
their fault. Then you think of your partner. Your partner won't be happy with you. You decide to go
home. You put your groceries in the car and start to go home.
You haven't even got 1000 yards away from the grocery parking lot when you see red and blue
flashing lights in your rear view mirror. A policeman pulls you over. He comes to your window and
says "when you turned the corner you didn't use your blinker light so I need to write you a ticket
for that. It looks like its broken" You know you put the blinker on. You innocently tell her with
full disclosure about the hit and run on your car in the parking lot and that you were returning
home right then and didn't realize the turn signal was out." The policewoman says in a very
displeased voice "Well it looks like you left the scene of the accident too so I have to write you
another ticket for that." You feel like you're a criminal. You look for your insurance card for the
police office and can't find it anywhere. I knew you had it. Ah that's right you haven't got the
new insurance card yet because it's only been two weeks ago you sent the payment in for the new
car. Something about it is tickling in the back of your mind that you forgot to do something but
can't place what it is.
You finally get home several hours later than expected and find the house is still a massive
pig-sty. The garbage hasn't been taken out and is stinking up the house. Your teenage daughter
didn't clean up the living room nor the kitchen liked you asked her to ten times already and she
promised she would, today. You put your hand to your head in exasperation. You notice that the air
condition isn't on so you go to turn it on and you find it is on already and suppose to be cool.
"Ohhh no!" You call the heating and air conditioning service people and they tell you they can't
come for 4 days. The heat outside is approaching 100 degrees. You are not looking forward to
sleeping tonight. Maybe you could take the family to a motel so you could all be comfortable.
Right then you wonder how things can't get any worse when your partner comes into the house and
they look very upset. You think "here it comes" and you close your eyes a little, waiting for their
anger to burst forth about the accident with the brand new car. They blurt out in a loud angry
voice "I lost my Job! They laid 20 people off today without any warning. We just got our new car
and I don't think we even have enough in our bank account to pay bills for a full month. What are
we going to do?"
You calm down your partner with reassurances while your head is spinning with what you are going to
do with the house payment, the car accident, the new car payment, the two tickets you just got and
the expensive insurance on the new car. Something jogs your memory and then you look over at the
counter and see an envelope peeking out underneath some papers - you walk over and find it is the
insurance envelope that was supposed to be put in the mail four weeks earlier with your insurance
payment for your new car.
Your 16 year old daughter comes home a few minutes later while you sat down to take it all in and
she comes in looking anxious and nervous. She can't look you in the eye but she sits down in one of
the chairs in the same room with you trying to say something to you. She finally just blurts it out
"I am 3 months pregnant and I am having twins!" You look at her and wonder how this day could get
any worse? You wonder "why me?" "How did I attract this?"
Now this story was made extreme as so to GET YOUR ATTENTION.
How do you handle life when bad situations come up for you? Do you take these things personally. Do
you get angry at everyone involved including yourself? Do you revert to blaming yourself or
another? Taking things personally in the Law of Attraction just brings more energy to the matter
you want to forget!
You can use what Neville calls revision. Where you go back to the spent energy and rework it so it
is the most ideal situation you'd prefer. Do you sometimes forget you have the power of conscious
intention?
Do you ask yourself "why did I attracted this?" And then give yourself an unhealthy dose of stress,
guilt or blame about it?
Do you feel metaphysical guilt for creating the crap or the unsavory life that seems to keep on
coming when you are totally wading in it up to your neck?
What happens is this. You notice something is wrong and you label it bad in your feelings. Then you
feel bad. As you open yourself up to dumping a physiological and psychological brain storm into
your body's chemical plant as this is personal to you and then claim it "as mine".
We claim the bad before it actually manifests in its entirety. We jump to conclusions before we
realize that the end product of what you are labeling bad is actually what you choose consciously
possibly three weeks or four weeks earlier.
Neville Goddard spoke about bridges of incidents that are the bridges that lead up to the
fulfillment of your desires through natural and everyday means. For me, wanting my bumper to get
replaced created a bridge of incident of another car hitting the back end of my car while it was
parked and I wasn't in it. Got my bumper replaced as I intended. Didn't think it would be an
accident that would create what I wanted even though the Universe found the perfect solution in a
relatively minor accident that my car was involved in and not me.
The universe delivers to you the fulfillment of the law and what you believe is possible, true, and
what you call your reality.
We jump the gun so many times and label the "bridges of incidents" bad before we even see it is
bringing us what we truly desire. We jump to the conclusion that the universe is against us in
going for our desires, which is the furthest thing from the truth that we can get.
The Universe doesn't have any criteria for you at all. It delivers to you what you believe, feel as
true, and that occupies your dominant thoughts.
If you look really careful at your life you find many "bridges of incidents" that lead you to
exactly what you desire or what you fear. Maybe you have been wanting a love that can love you very
deeply and yet you break up with your current lover, significant other and you get devastated after
that.
And here the Universe is working on delivering to you the perfect mate who can love you deeply and
then you might go ahead and jump to the wrong conclusions that you feel the Universe is against you
or really isn't listening to what you want. You might even assume like many you can't trust
yourself.
As I have coached people over the last 30 years who wanted something other than what they have -
the main theme that runs through most people's lives is that they believe they don't have a lot of
creative control over their life. They don't realize that they create their own reality all the
time with their thoughts, feelings and imaginings. And it's not just some of the time; it's all the
time. So coming from a place of helplessness or not knowing they actually have a power within them
- they never use it - not knowing it is there.
When you wake up to your potential of the power you have within you it gives you some possibilities
you now have that you didn't realize were there a few moments ago. Only if you believe it is true
about you.
And now knowing this gives you the freedom to act on your own behalf to create the life of your
dreams. To take your dreams of fancy and make it into factual reality.
Taking on personal responsibility isn't about blaming yourself and playing the victim role like the
story above illustrated. It's about empowering yourself so you can change what you say to yourself
a little at a time. It's also about realizing that the whole power of the universe flows through
you all at one time and you can use this power to create a new story about you that you would
absolutely adore and love to now tell.
Letting this power into your world is letting go of the idea that you are to be blamed or any one
else needs to be blamed. When you go to point a finger at yourself or another it only sets the
blame into motion to create even more to point at and accuse. In the Law or Law of Attraction blame
grows. When you take your attention away from blame you step out of the lame blame game into the
conscious creating game.
When you focus on what you want only then will you start flowing the energy towards what you desire
instead of what you don't want. When you take things personally while using consciously creating
you stop the flow towards what you desire. You get upset at this or that and purchase blame with
your energy and feelings. It's an old pattern many people fall back into, so you must be aware so
you don't and stop this energy leak.
The solution for this is to learn how to feel your energy into what you want and how not to feel
your energy into what you don't want. Every creation you make is filled with results whether it was
created on purpose or by default.
Looking on yourself as the lovely creator who missed the mark - like throwing a dart at a dart
board takes away the big sting of taking your goofs, mistakes and getting it wrong personally. When
you throw a dart at a dart board or throw a bowling ball down the alley you don't typically take it
personally if you missed the mark or the pins. You know you need to practice to get better. So you
either take the time to practice or you don't expect to get much better results. You don't take it
personally if you fail at darts or bowling if you don't practice and put the energy and focus
needed into getting better.
So go ahead and give yourself a new break in using the Law of Attraction. Don't take it personally
that you might start out not getting results every time the way you want all the time.
Not to say you can't be there one day - you definitely can be. Just like bowling or darts it takes
practice to master your energy and your thoughts to create what you want all the time. The more
often you practice feeling what you want and believing you already have it - the more consistently
it is yours.
Practice feeling what it's like to have the reality you want. Practice surrounding yourself with
the mental imagery that you would have on the inside or on a vision board on the outside if you
like. Practice turning yourself on to the reality you desire!
Practice the mental equivalent of what you'd think it would be in your reality to "try it on". To
create a new vibrational transmission that tells the universe you now believe this as true for you
to be or have or do. Whatever works for you!
So lets say you desire a trip to somewhere in the world. Go ahead and plan the trip as if you are
going and have all the vacation time you need and the money you need.
Practice being there. Practice walking the streets. Practice smelling the smells of the bakery that
might be there. Practice the taste buds being excited by the country's beer, chocolate, food, or
specialty. Practice brings the reality of what you want by living in it today. Now feel the
richness of the trip you are on. Feel the richness of the people you are visiting.
Be thankful that everything lined up for you perfectly to have such a fantastic
trip you're now currently on. Come from the place you're thankful for being where you've already
wanted to go. Practice giving yourself all the good you'd have on the trip. Cut out pictures of
places you are visiting (pretend you already went) and put it on a vision board that you can look
at daily. Have stories of a couple you met there in the country and how they impressed you with a
certain quality you'd like to have more prevalent in your life. Practice being there, and what
you'd be doing if you were there already.
Now take it personally that you created this trip through the Law of Attraction and how easy it was
to do so. You just want to practice being there to be able to go there in your outer reality.
Now take this idea of the trip and apply it to everything you might desire to be involved with in
your new life. Practice having it. Practice feeling it. Practice talking to your friends about it
as already here and achieved. Make it a reality. Fool yourself into knowing it is a reality and
then it will come. It can come very fast, slow or in a seeming more natural way.
There doesn't seem to be anything that limits your power other than your ability to believe that
what you want is here already. Just pretend. Just play like you are a little child. Let the
emotional excitement of having what you want cascade over you as yours now. Move yourself in the
alpha or theta brain wave by being very relaxed while you practice having what you desire.
Let yourself accept the things you desire into your life by claiming "the thing" you desire as
yours. Remember to not get so specific with people but what the people you'd like in your
experience would bring into your life. So if there is a certain person who makes you feel love, say
in your intention "like this person or someone better for me". You give the universe a much better
way to bring you all that you desire by feeling you already have it.
Not sure that you can feel you already have it?
Just find a belief within yourself that says it is at least possible and still dwell in it as
though you have got it. Be thankful for it. Breathe it as yours. Live it as yours. Carry it around
with you before you ever get it as yours. See your life with it as yours. Know what it is like to
have it surrounding you imaginally at first until it does. Be persistent about it. Ignore the
negative comments from yourself or other people. They aren't living your life - why rent space in
your head with their negativity?
Create a mantra that you have it already like Ali the boxer. He predicted his fights' outcomes with
such certainty through his body. His opponents could see he had already won in his own mind before
they even stepped into the ring. He knew how to psyche himself up to a level of conviction and
confidence that burst fear to anyone who opposed him.
Mental rehearsal is another thing that Mohammad Ali practiced. Feeling the blows to his body
mentally and feeling what it is like to be fatigued and yet have the strength to win the bout.
Find the reasons inside of you why you already have it. I know it sounds weird and anything you do
to convince yourself that you already posses it will bring it to you much quicker than hoping,
waiting, and working very hard for it one day to be yours.
If you find it to be an integrity issue to believe and talk about something you don't have at this
moment just understand that is about the ego defending the status quo. The ego actually helps you
maintain status quo on a survival level or state that you are in. The ego doesn't care if you're
successful or in love or having your desires. It exists so you can have a physical experience. It
doesn't dictate to you unless you listen to its voice. It is easy to lead if you just direct its
energy towards your desires end.
You can listen and stay where you are or you can break through it by not believing every word that
comes into your mind about your fears and doubts of what might happen and might not happen. Now if
you're going down a dark alley you might be wise to listen to it if it tells you to run away from
that alley. The ego likes to have you run away from anything that is out of the state of your
comfort zone that you usually are in.
So be aware that ego works with you as you enter another state or place of being. When you make it
a habit to have or be someone else the ego will protect and support you in that comfort zone
too.
Once you get used to going from one level to the next in making new comfort zones your ego gets
used to it and starts to work with you even more to go to the next state because that is now the
comfort zone.
As you set new intentions and create new worlds for you to enjoy you will have an ally in ego to
help you. If you heard talk you don't want to hear from it just say "Thanks for sharing. Unless
you're supporting me in going into this new state, new place, new direction or becoming this new
person please keep your comments silenced." That statement works wonders for many people.
So as you become aware of your intentions you wanted a few weeks ago or even months ago and allow
the process of bridges of incidents to play out in your life you will realize it is based on your
desires that certain things will come into your life. You will see the connection between your
intention to have something and then having it.
In your Universe all things that are felt as true, heard as true, saw as true, smelled as true, and
tasted as true will come to you as a manifestation on the outside that you believed, felt, as an
inside experience.
Remember that you created it sometime in your past with one of your senses which if observed will
give you a knowledge of your own power. Just by remembering and observing that you experienced
something as true in the past and it became a manifestation!
So as you go through your day to day life looking for the positive in any negative will help you
stay away from taking things personally.
Thus jumping to conclusions that you are a victim of what is coming to you in your outer world and
taking it personally as a bad thing instead of a bridge of incident. Just open yourself up to see
how much good you can bring to yourself in the coming weeks and months.
You are the creator of your life. Now believe it. Believe in yourself.
