Developed In
Truth

Introduction
A favorite
method I use to develop and condition my mind in truth concepts is to explore statements from
lectures Neville presented. Often I clip a single statement or paragraph from the online source
entitled “Neville Quotes”. For an example of how I do it, I am sharing in this article a clip from
Lecture #405 Live in the End, 07/19/1968. In this lecture, I saw how it helped me see how far I
progressed. I used it to test how far I am developed in Truth.
"If
you tell them it came to pass because you simply imagined it – no, they will point to the series of
events that led up to it, and they will give credit to the bridge of incidents, across which you
walked towards the fulfillment of that state, and they will point out some physical thing that was
the cause. No, the cause is invisible, for the cause is God, and God is invisible to mortal
eye."
I started by asking
a few questions within myself. I checked to see how often I pointed to the series of events that
led to outcomes I got over the years. I wanted to see what I credited for my success. Most
especially, I wanted to see which physical things I referenced when things happened in my life. For
sure, I wanted to see who and what I held responsible for what happened, whether good, bad or
indifferent. How often had I blamed others for things that went badly for me? How obligated did I
feel to others who helped me out of jams?
I discovered I had a
mixed history over the years – where I had seen some situations I caused and some situations I
credited or blamed others. Hardest was my appraisal of situations that affected large numbers of
persons – in cities, states, nations and globally. For questions on the global economy, how did I
cause it? Or, to what extent did I have any thing to do with it?
I recalled a series of events
I noticed prior to 911 – the Twin Towers in New York City. Numerous school shootings, shark
attacks and a devastating storm – hurricane – took place on the east coast of the United
States. News of these events flooded the airways within a few weeks prior to the attack. I
knew very clearly the mass consciousness was steeped in fear and judgment. Then after 911,
reports of the attack continued at practically every newscast for more than a year. I was not
at all surprised at the sniper attacks in the DC area. Again, mass consciousness shared
certain universal beliefs about fear and danger in the area.
At the time,
however, I did not know I played a part in these disasters. You see, I saw the reports prior to and
after 911 and noticed how horrible they were. I did not know I had joined in with the masses when I
reacted.
Oh I was alert
enough to know the situations came about through fears in the consciousness of the regions – even
of the nation. However, I did not see it at the time that by merely reacting, all I was doing was
judging. I was in a dream of judgment and I blamed the situations on mass consciousness. Sure I
could say I was advanced because I pointed to consciousness as the cause. But this was only part of
the task.
Task? Yes, task. I
realized over time that in the moment I saw the cause of troubling situations, I was charged with a
task. Seeing the cause meant I had some responsibility for bringing solutions to the table.
Pointing to the cause is not enough. Now what about the solutions?
So I was not as
advanced as I thought. Seeing consciousness as the culprit opened the door – but I did not know
that at that time. The works of Neville found their way into my possession the year after 911. It
took a few more years before I put it together where I no longer stopped at seeing the cause. It
was an ongoing thing – developing in truth. Neville emphasized revision as the way to cushion us
from the blows of the world. He taught revision as true forgiveness. Most revision examples Neville
gave were very personal – such as for self or for loved ones. However, in one lecture, Neville
discussed situations of national significance – how citizens might be disenfranchised because they
had not paid attention to nightmares being played out privately and publicly. He spoke about
constitutional rights. As soon as I heard about the Patriot’s Act, I realized this illustrated
Neville's brief comment.
The Setup for Dismissing False Beliefs
Looking over my
development, I realized I did not have enough in place to do more than bring forth occasional
solutions. Sure, I knew the culprit was mass consciousness. But I had to see what in mass
consciousness made it the culprit. As long as I reacted to it, I was caught up in it as much as any
others although I knew it was mass consciousness. I used the term “negative thinking” to account
for it. A person who worked with me on projects in imagination education played a pivotal role in
moving me beyond mere reactions. She told me she substituted “false beliefs” for “negative energy”
and immediately the light went on. I examined my energy chart and saw it. Each concept representing
thoughts, feelings and energy in the lower range (below 200) pointed to false beliefs.
I worked out
revision strategies for dismissing false beliefs. These strategies took revision and forgiveness to
a new level for me, especially as I saw universal beliefs as false beliefs shared by large groups –
masses of people. Nations shared false beliefs and attempted to set up plans for dealing with them.
Global sharing of false beliefs stirred collaboration among nations to frame plans for dealing with
them. The economy, climate and health issues were among top false beliefs calling officials around
boardroom tables. The debate inside and outside the boardrooms roared with angry attacks from all
sides. That anger was stirred confirmed the standing: false beliefs.
In my initial
successes, I noticed the value of calling a false belief a false belief. That’s the beginning. Just
so I make myself clear, any false belief supports limitation, lack, opposing elements and any forms
of separation or division. Truth represents completeness, wholeness, fullness and allness. Yes,
I’ll also include the perfection word. Forgiveness or revision sees completeness, wholeness,
fullness, allness and perfection as the truth about the person or situation. Forgiveness or
revision recognizes these qualities as the truth of the person or situation regardless of what they
expressed. Being willing to see the person or situation express completeness or wholeness is the
beginning of revision or forgiveness. In the false belief, the person or situation expressed
limitation instead of completeness.
What About
Perfection?
Perhaps you might
say, “But no one is perfect!” You might be among those who said at one time or another, “Only one
person was perfect and he was Jesus." Aside from the Scripture that tells us to be perfect as our
Father in heaven is perfect, having read Neville you know he identified Jesus Christ as imagination
– your human imagination – whether you are aware of it and use it consciously or not. Consciously
aware of your individual imaginal activity is Awakened Imagination. My point – Christ in you is
Perfection in you. Imagination in you – whether you are aware of its capacities – is Perfection in
you. It is perfection, allness, fullness, completeness and wholeness in you.
All people on the
planet have these qualities and it does not matter who they are, their nations or tribes or their
economic standing. Everyone possesses imagination; therefore all possess perfection, completeness,
wholeness, fullness and allness. These qualities are within everyone and acts of revision on behalf
of any tap into their completeness, to activate it in the mind we all share. We tap into their
wholeness, their fullness and their allness. We tap into our perfection and theirs.
Reports of persons
who harmed others or deprived any of some good for their own gain especially showed them as among
those who did not recognize their own completeness or the completeness of others. Any such reports
showed they did not regard others as being part of the allness – they saw others as separate from
them – us versus them. Let’s take sides!
To recognize the
perfection, completeness, fullness, wholeness and allness of another, I found I had to be in the
consciousness of perfection and these qualities. Yes, these qualities are in the consciousness of
perfection.
Perfection is a concept. It is easy to
personify the concept perfection and see it as an image in the mind. Call it Perfection
Image if you like. See it as it takes action, moving across the stage of your mind. If more
comfortable with the concept completeness, personify it and see Completeness Image at the
front of your mind. See alongside Completeness Image other images – such as Fullness
Image, Richness Image, Comprehensiveness Image, Totality Image, Unity Image, Harmony Image and
Fulfillment Image. Call all these images around you and command them to tell their missions. Hear
them and where you choose, ask them to go into greater details.
After hearing enough to have
formed a conception of these images, call them to you, one at a time. Draw them close to you,
embracing them until you feel the image merged with your being. Readily, notice the essence
and energy of the image in your being. Notice how you felt about yourself as you felt the
energy of the image in your being. Observe as the energy vibrates and light of the image
radiates in and through your being. The image is within you and its energy is surrounding
you, covering you fully. Walk in the awareness of being in the image and of the image in your
being. Notice how this felt. As you embodied all the images of perfection and completeness,
you set the atmosphere to dismiss false beliefs.
Now To
Dismiss False Beliefs
Any person involved
in schemes to harm or deprive others of some good did not know he demonstrated his oneness with the
others when he played out scenes in his mind to deprive the other of some good thing. Surely when
he thought of the other – whether with a face or faceless, he did not realize he viewed an image in
his mind and the image was himself playing the part of the other. Action he took in his mind
against another was really action he took against himself. He intensified this action when he
shared his plans with others – where he convinced them to join in with him in the
action.
Using the example of
actions in the financial community where bankers took advantage of unsuspecting homebuyers
illustrated false belief. False belief is unawareness that action in the mind is against self when
he thought he was planning against another. It is unawareness of only one mind and all action in
mind is in only one mind. All are in the same one mind. Not knowing this identifies false belief.
False belief is unawareness of perfection, wholeness, fullness, completeness and
allness.
So I recognized one
who operated out of false belief - that is just part of my work. To recognize where he is starts
the work. My task is to dismiss the false belief and bring the person into truth. All my action is
in the one mind – in consciousness. So whatever I think when the person comes to mind stirs images
in my mind and these images are in the one mind. My feelings about the person stir images in my
mind – and these images are in the one mind. in the energy and light of perfection and
completeness, I move forward in my work. Thought of the person prompts me to move my attention to
perfection and completeness.
Aware of the
person’s perfection and completeness, I am ready to call false beliefs to the front of my mind.
Whatever false beliefs I saw are concepts. So I personified the specific concepts and saw them as
images at the front of my mind. Among images I saw were Unawareness Image, Unsuspecting Image, Take
Advantage Image and Deprive Image. I called Bankers Image and Homebuyers Image to the front of my
mind. I noticed the images that surrounded Bankers Image and Homebuyers Image. Around Bankers Image
were Unawareness Image, Take Advantage Image and Deprive Image. All around Homebuyers Image were
Unsuspecting Image and Deprived Image. Images circling Bankers Image seemed arrogant and haughty.
Images all around Homebuyers Image mocked and ridiculed him.
Introducing the homebuyers into the drama gave me opportunity to
see their perfection and completeness. Playing roles in the bankers’ nightmares, they showed they
were unaware of their completeness and perfection. They took part in the nightmare because they
shared in the same false beliefs as the bankers – they played the roles of those deprived of
certain joys.
Conclusion
Using the example of
the bankers and homebuyers, forgiveness and revision made it possible for me to look at them
impartially – recognizing that both were caught up in shared false beliefs. It is easy to take
sides for one or another when unaware of the perfection and completeness hidden beneath the false
beliefs. But aware, it is quite easy to rearrange the images that moved round about them. Instead
of images of false beliefs, I arranged images that represented their completeness and
perfection.
One set of images
circling both groups was Mutual Benefits Image. Another set of images all around both was Joyous
Satisfaction Image. In the mind's eye, just watch and see these images dancing and laughing as they
moved all around both groups. The bankers and homebuyers derived mutual benefits through their
transactions and both were joyously satisfied. They enjoyed working together for mutually
satisfying experiences.
Having dismissed
false beliefs that surrounded any persons and situations I saw, I found it easy to identify
specific expressions of completeness and perfection for them. The persons or situations did not
matter. That they had acted out of false beliefs was the only thing that mattered and dismissing
those beliefs was my first action. My next action was to call to mind images that played out
completeness and perfection – see those images in action until I was clear about them. I knew I had
completed the task when my only thought when these persons or situations came to mind was scenes
showing them surrounded by images of completeness and perfection.
Test the process out for yourself and see how far you developed
your mind in Truth.
